Museums Advocacy Day 2010 Registration Now Open!
AAM invites you to join with fellow museum advocates and professionals from around the country for Museums Advocacy Day 2010, March 22-23, 2010 in Washington, DC.
REGISTER NOW:
At Museums Advocacy Day, you will:
- Learn about legislative issues affecting the museum field;
- Learn how to effectively work with your representatives in Congress;
- Receive a full day of advocacy training and issue briefings;
- Coordinate with other advocates from your state and Congressional district;
- Attend a reception with Members of Congress and staff invited;
- Make scheduled visits to the Congressional offices that represent you; and
- Take a unified message to Capitol Hill about the public value of museums!
“Our first-ever Museums Advocacy Day in 2009 was successful because 300 advocates brought a unified message to Capitol Hill, with advocates from 43 states and all types of museums meeting with their Congressional offices,” said AAM President Ford W. Bell. “Already this year we’ve seen multiple challenges to federal programs that fund museums, so it is more important than ever to continue making the case directly to Congress.”
