Museums Advocacy Day Capitol Hill Visits

Dear Museum Advocates,

We are so excited that you will be joining us for Museums Advocacy Day on February 23 and 24. We now have nearly 300 participants!

You may be wondering about your Capitol Hill meetings with legislators - when they are, who you'll be meeting with - so we wanted to provide a brief update for you on our progress.

We have been in touch with all of the Capitol Hill offices that represent you in Congress and are scheduling meetings for you for both the House and Senate. Some of these meetings have been scheduled; others will be scheduled this week and next (that's how things work on Capitol Hill - sometimes offices don't schedule meetings until the week before). If you have personal contacts in those offices that you want us to know about, please email Ember Farber at efarber@aam-us.org . If you have limited availability on Tuesday, February 24 (if you have to catch a plane, for example), please let us know so we can try to accommodate your schedule.

We are pleased that a Tentative Itinerary for the day of advocacy training has just been posted on our website at www.speakupformuseums.org/MuseumAdvocacyDay.htm . If you have further questions about any of the Museums Advocacy Day activities, please be in touch. Thanks so much. We look forward to seeing you!
